Oromonto

About:

April 10/23 (first idea) - Mar 12/24 (latest iteration)

2 – 6 Players, 30 - 60 minutes (longer with more players)

To win the game, players score by having their "miners" closest to the top of the "mountain" and the most Gold. The game ends when the first player reaches the top.

Players control 3 miners who start out at the bottom of the mountain (the outermost ring) and are moved up towards the top, finding "Ore" along the way. They move first and then have to match or beat that move on their starting 2d8 die. Returning to base camp with Gold bearing Ore, they can then "smelt" it into Gold. That Gold can be used for end game scoring or used to upgrade their "equipment" (Dice) for better move abilities.

Players move their miners up/down by rotating the rings to their colour. The mountain is unstable so there will be "boulders coming down from the top, either blocking the miners path or even knocking them backwards.

The game features "Push Your Luck", "Luck of the Draw", "Worker Placement" and "Resource Management" mechanics. There is no direct player interaction, other than messing with other players plans by moving the rings (levels of the mountain). There is no player elimination.
